Terms of Service

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Thought Lab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Thought Lab provides tools to import, track, and analyze publicly available Reddit activity. The Service is provided "as is" and may change at any time.

3. Chrome Extension

Thought Lab also distributes the ThoughtLab Top Commenters Chrome extension, which analyzes public Reddit pages locally in your browser. The extension:

  • Is free to use and does not require a Thought Lab account.
  • Runs entirely on your device. No data is sent to Thought Lab servers.
  • Only makes network requests to www.reddit.com and oauth.reddit.com.
  • Is governed by a separate Extension Privacy Policy that supersedes the Service Privacy Policy with respect to the extension.

By downloading, installing, or using the extension you agree to these Terms. The acceptable use, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and termination provisions of these Terms apply to the extension in the same way they apply to the web-based Service.

4. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, or monitor individuals without their knowledge.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account page. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Service accesses only publicly available Reddit data.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, code, and design of the Service are the property of Thought Lab. Reddit content displayed belongs to its respective authors.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided without warranty. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
